'Abdul'Baha's Little Brown Cat

This is a story for children of all ages

in commemoration of the centenary of the passing

of 'Abdu'l-Bahá in November 1921.

All people and events in the story are historical,

verified with relevant references and sources.

It's clear from contemporary records

that 'Abdu'l-Bahá had a brown cat at this time,

the only fiction in the story being the suggestion

that His cat was often on hand to observe

what was taking place. What the cat does

and thinks are the only fiction in the story.

Reviews

A delightful book about ‘Abdu’l-Bahá from the

unique perspective of an endearing little cat -

Abdu’l-Bahá’s Little Brown Cat captures some of

the sweetest moments from the last few years of

‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s life in Haifa.

(Shirin Taherzadeh)

Simply and skilfully told, the reader is transported

from the outset to the busy and vibrant home

of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá in Haparsim Street, Haifa -

The book’s charming illustrations enhance our love

for the story’s main protagonist - Little Brown Cat -

through whose quirky and intelligent eyes we witness

and feel the excitement of those extraordinary times.
